HORMONES & LABS

Balance your hormones to help manage symptoms and fight early signs of aging

As we grow older, our bodies naturally produce lower levels of hormones like testosterone and estrogen. These hormones play a crucial role in the functioning of various systems, including the brain, heart, bones, reproductive organs, and more. When hormone levels become imbalanced, it can lead to a range of symptoms.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is a treatment that helps restore hormonal balance and alleviate these symptoms. It uses compounded hormones that are structurally identical to those produced by the body, allowing your body to recognize and use them just as it would with its own natural hormones.

What are the hormone imbalance symptoms for women?

• Fatigue

• Night sweats

• Hot flashes or flushes

• Decreased sex drive

• Weight gain

• Trouble sleeping

• Irritability, anxiousness & mood swings

• Brain fog

• Decreased bone mass

How does it work?

The Biote Method uses pellets, which are about the size of a grain of rice, for hormone optimization. These tiny pellets under the skin during a simple, in-office procedure. The pellets will then dissolve slowly over time – they only need to be re-administered approximately every 3-5 months, depending on the patient. As the pellets dissolve, they release a steady stream of hormones into your bloodstream, which your body will then use as it needs. Over time, the pellets will be completely absorbed, leaving nothing behind.

How long does it take?

After your initial consultation to discuss your symptoms, lifestyle and health concerns, we will draw blood work and schedule a follow-up. We then will customize a treatment plan based on your body’s specific needs. If pellet therapy is recommended, those visits are very quick and happen every 3-5 months. .

Why is hormone balance important?

Most women see a significant drop in estrogen and testosterone during menopause, while many men may experience a similar phenomenon relating to testosterone, known as andropause or more commonly as Low T (low testosterone). Hormonal imbalances occur when there is too much or too little of a hormone in the bloodstream. Hormones are important for regulating most major bodily processes. Because of their essential role in the body, even the smallest hormonal imbalance can cause side effects throughout the body.
