MICRONEEDLING

Support healthier hair growth and scalp rejuvenation

Microneedling uses a specialized device to create tiny, controlled micro-injuries on the skin, which stimulate the body’s natural collagen production as the skin heals. Recent studies have shown that this technique can also be effective for addressing hair loss when applied to the scalp. By enhancing the absorption of topical treatments and improving blood flow to the hair follicles, microneedling supports healthier hair growth and scalp rejuvenation.

What to expect from Scalp Microneedling for Hair Loss

Hearing the words “needles” and “skin” might sound intimidating, but scalp microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure with only mild discomfort for most people. After treatment, some redness and tenderness are normal for a few days, but you can typically resume your daily activities right away. For optimal results, we recommend a minimum of six sessions over eight weeks, with a full treatment plan consisting of 15 sessions over 24 weeks. Noticeable improvements can often be seen within the first two months.

Is scalp microneedling painful?

Microneedling for hair loss is generally not painful. To ensure your comfort, a topical numbing agent is applied before the procedure. Most clients report little to no sensation during the session, though mild tenderness may occur for a day or two afterward.

Will microneedling work for my hair type?

Microneedling is most effective for individuals in the early stages of androgenetic alopecia, commonly known as male or female pattern baldness. Men often notice thinning at the hairline or crown, while women typically observe a widening part. An in-office consultation can help determine if this treatment is suitable for your specific hair loss pattern..

After Treatment Expectations

There is little downtime associated with Microneedling but most feel some tenderness afterwards. This sensation may feel like a windburn or sunburn because of the micro trauma caused to the dermal layer. Every client is different, but this sensation typically lasts about 1-2 days and may be accompanied by redness and dryness, but there is no reason for concern. The client should avoid direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours and wear SPF daily. We highly suggest waiting to apply hair products until the next day. Each client should be advised and reminded that just like any area of the body where a healing response has been triggered, keeping the area clean is crucial to healing.
